Deforestation continues to reach alarming levels. In 2023, the world lost a forest area equivalent to the size of Switzerland, according to recent data. This issue is not far from us: the annual consumption of Portuguese citizens contributes to the destruction of around 2,700 hectares of forest. These losses are not just numbers; they represent the collapse of ecosystems, the reduction of biodiversity, and the worsening of climate change.
